Ray Weitekamp MS, PT

Clinic Manager

Ray attended the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate degree. He graduated from Arcadia University with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Professionally Ray began his career in Chicago working in a outpatient clinic treating a variety of patients from post operative to work related injuries. He went on to work at Northwestern Hospital’s downtown PT department, which focused on treatment of cervical and lumbar spine through manual therapy techniques.

He moved to Connecticut in 2000 and began working for Carlson Therapy Network at Western Connecticut Physical Therapy. In 2003 Ray helped to open Church Hill Physical Therapy. The focus of this clinic has been to provide superior care to residents of Newtown and surrounding community. Treating a patient base including athletes of all ages, post operative care, and treatment of acute and chronic injuries.

Ray has taken a variety of continuing education courses including manual therapy techniques, biomechanics of foot/ankle and the lower extremity.

Deirdre Laverty

Deirdre attended Cortland College in upstate New York and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, minor in Management and a concentration in Adult Fitness. In addition she has obtained numerous certifications in the health field, such as ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, AFAA Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor, ACE Weight Management Consultant, and Adult CPR. To further her education, Deirdre obtained a Masters in HealthCare Administration from WCSU.Deirdre’s work experience ranges from Corporate Wellness and Fitness Programming at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals and Bridgeport Hospital, to Health Administration with Danbury Office of Physician Services. Deirdre has been working at Church Hill Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation since it’s opening in March 2003.
