Gail Fennell, PTClinic Manager Gail joined Carlson Therapy Network in 1990. Over the past 14 years Gail has grown with Carlson and furthered her knowledge by taking extensive coursework in Manual therapy including Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, Advanced Strain Counter Strain, CranialSacral Therapy (Upledger), Visceral mobilization (Upledger and Weiselfish), Neural Tissue Tension Release, Mulligan Mobilization, and Lumbar Segmental Spinal Stabilization. She is pursuing further coursework in Integrative Manual Therapy through DCR and Regional Physical Therapy in Bloomfield, CT. Gail has expertise in orthopedic rehab, spinal rehab, and prenatal /postpartum exercise and treatment. Gail has been Clinical Instructor to numerous physical therapy students from a variety of Universities. She promotes quality service not only in her treatment of patients but also in her role as administrator. Gail prefers the “hands-on” approach with all her patients providing manual therapy, along with instruction in an individualized home exercise program, proper body mechanics and self care management techniques. She is a 1987 graduate of SUNY Health Science Center @ Brooklyn (formerly Downstate). Gail began her career at the Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Lubin Rehab in the Bronx. In 1989, she relocated to Ridgefield, where she worked at Norwalk Hospital as Senior Physical Therapist and Rehab Unit PT Program Coordinator until joining Carlson Therapy in 1990. In January 2005 Gail opened Connecticut Neck and Back Physical Therapy which is an affiliate of Carlson Therapy Network. This is a specialty office focused mainly on Spinal Care. Maredith Spector, PT, M.S.Clinical Education Coordinator & Compliance Manager Maredith has many years of experience in many practice and academic settings. She had a bachelor’s of science in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut and a master of science in PT education from Boston University. While at Carlson Therapy Network for the past 15 years, she has concentrated on the provision of manual therapy, completing all levels of Upledger Trainings in Craniosacral Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Visceral Manipulation. Additionally, she has completed trainings in Zero Balancing, Energy Integration and Neural Tissue Tension Techniques, and has served as Teaching Assistant in multiple courses in the U.S. and Great Britain. In clinical practice, Maredith has an affinity for the multiply involved client, posture problems, TMJ, and dynamic function in the elderly, and wellness programs. |
