Our PROCARE Willimantic office is dedicated to returning each patient to their highest level of movement and function in the shortest amount of time. As a member of your health care team, we will do everything possible to return you to optimum health. We will discuss with you home exercises that will help to reduce and prevent further problems and answer all of your questions.

What we expect from our patients:

  • Be cooperative and follow your Plan of Care
  • Give us a courtesy phone call if you cannot make your appointment
  • Participate to the best of your ability in each therapy session
  • Comply with your therapist treatment recommendations, including home exercise program
  • Report to your therapist any changes in your condition
What our patients can expect during their recovery:
  • The body has a healing process of its own that's accelerated with physical therapy, but healing is not instantaneous
  • Following your Plan of Care and your therapists instructions will speed your healing process and give you the best outcome
  • You may experience some discomfort after each session which is normal, when treating injured areas
  • Setbacks in your recovery may occur and they're normal, perseverance with your treatment will get you back on track

After Care Program:

Our staff, once you are discharged from physical therapy, will coordinate a fitness program for you to continue at our facility. The ultimate goal of this fitness program is to gradually increase your overall physical condition and return you to a higher level of fitness. Please ask your therapist for more information.

Massage Therapy:

Everyone deserves to be pampered. Our massage therapist Cara Theriault specializes in Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial Therapy. She has taken many continuing education courses including pregnancy massage. Massage offers people a great way to relax; and if you have an injury, massage helps the muscles to obtain their full potential during exercise. Massage after physical therapy releases antioxidants. Orthotics:

Injury, aging, or stressful activies can all cause a misalignment in your spine, which triggers different symptoms throughout your body. Foot Levelers custom orthotics help bring your body back to its natural state of alignment. Please ask your therapist for more information.
